It has been a few years since North Myrtle Beach broke ground but it will be well worth it. Very shortly, the North Myrtle Beach Main Street Connector will be opening up to the public. Even as the U.S. sees an economic slump, this could mean a huge boost for this city!!

There are many developments on the west side of the Waterway that require you to take a dirt road to get to their property. (This includes Intracoastal Waterway Property) With the opening of the Main Street Connector, this should pave the way for more development.

This will help those getting to the city with alternate routes and get to other places of interest quickly as well. The Main Street Connector will join with SC Hwy 31 and SC Hwy 90. It took a while, but with the engineering that had to take place, was definitely needed. Each phase was for the earth and bridge to have time to settle, as with the massive amount of weight driving on a regular basis 24/7 over the bridge, the ground needed plenty of time to withstand the pressure. Now, coming into the final stages of the Connector, we should see a lot of North Myrtle Beach’s smiling faces. The completion date is still set to open at the end of August and we all can not wait!!
