Myrtle Beach Real Estate Today Update
It has been another beautiful week in Paradise and we are starting to see more activity. The “Hard Rock Park” had its soft opening and there have been many people show up to visit the park. We feel it is great to have the only Hard Rock Park in the world, here at the beach. One of the reasons they chose Myrtle Beach as the location to be, was because over 50% of the United States population can drive here within approximately 12 hours. If you would like to hear more about the park, go to our web site and click on WRNN 99.5 and open up our Radio show to hear Kerry Greaves the V.P. of Marketing tell us all about the Park. We are going to go over what is happening with Myrtle Beach real estate on the show at 9:00AM this Sunday and that will be on our web site by next weekend. Please let us know if there is a particular area that you would like to here about on the show.
I just finished reading a book titled “Stop Sitting on your Assets” and found it to be real interesting. As a matter of a fact, I wish I had read the book when I was younger. It basically states you should pay your home or second home with as little down, so that you can take advantage of the interest deductions from taxes and take as much money as you can and invest in a safe investment, so that you can take advantage of the compounding effect. I am not saying that I totally agree with everything in the book but there is a lot in it for you to think about.
On a positive note for those of you that are interested in a Jumbo Loan, Freddie Mac announces an agreement with major mortgage lenders, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Chase, Citi Mortgage and Washington Mutual to buy conforming jumbo mortgages in high cost markets. Qualified borrowers can now apply for an array of fixed-rate or adjustable rate conforming jumbo mortgages that will be less expensive than non-conforming jumbo loans. Hopefully this will make Jumbo rates more competitive.
There are a many good buys here at the beach, don’t wait too long if you want to purchase a property. The replacement cost on concrete and steel buildings are more than you can buy re-sales today. Check back frequently to find out more about the Myrtle Beach Real Estate Market.
