April is the month where the Myrtle Beach real estate market starts to see an increase in transactions. I guess you could say that our real estate ‘season’ is starting. The warmer weather has started, the SOS Spring Safari is happening right now in North Myrtle Beach. Easter vacation and spring vacations are coming to an end for Myrtle Beach, and the Golfers are here enjoying the ocean breeze. As you can see, the number of transactions are slowly increasing; however, the prices are still declining. The Analysts are stating it will come this year, but we won’t see it until the prices level off.

So, I must ask as a fellow realtor, how are you making it? I know here in the Dallas area sales are down 20% from last year and prices are down a little bit, but finding a qualified buyer is still difficult. What tips are you finding that works to draw people to your site and then get them qualified. My site is realitively new, so google only sees some of my keywords right now, but when it starts hitting first page, I worry I will get looky lous, not real buyers. Being you are in a tough market you must have went through this already, any advice?
We are noticing an increase in activity lately for both buyers and sellers. As long as you keep your name out in front of the public from farming, blogging, letters, etc. potential buyers and sellers will remember you. This way they will know who to contact when they are ready.
I have been blog hoping all over North America since January. I have found that markets are picking up most everywhere. The markets that did not go up extremely and did not come down extremely are lagging a bit. It seems Myrtle Beach falls into this group. I feel though that last few weeks are showing changes even in these markets. I think you will really start seeing some strength now. It should eat up the inventory. It actually starts with price reduction which creates some bidding.
I have to agree. We have been seeing activity increase dramatically over the last few weeks.
