Myrtle Beach has been listed as one of the “Top 10 U.S. Golf Destinations” by Trip Advisor, a web site with over 30 million traveler reviews. The site listed it as number 4 in the nation. Thousands of voters elected Monterey Peninsula of California; Pinehurst, NC; Scottsdale, AZ; and Myrtle Beach as the top 4. Another golf honor Myrtle Beach has recently received is from Golf Digest. Myrtle Beach took 7 of the “America’s Top 100 Courses” spots. A recent study from a local company, Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday, shows golf is not only up in the Grand Strand but nationally as well; compared to 2008. This is good news for the Myrtle Beach area, the city is trying to create more direct flights and work on marketing campaigns to bring golfers to the area.
