Myrtle Beach Home prices rose year after year until around the end of 2005 to around the middle of 2006. Since then prices have actually gone down for property in the Myrtle Beach area. This isn’t necessarily bad news, especially for those that have the ability to buy in today’s market. Right now, our inventories are still high which creates that saturation, or for the buyers more opportunities. If there are more opportunities or choices for buyers then the prices will keep going down until our inventory dries up. We are looking towards the middle of 2008 to the end of 2008 before the Myrtle Beach real estate market really comes back. Noone knows definitively, but with the recent pick up in showings and the activity with the buyers we feel that 2008 will be a stronger year for the real estate market here.
