What an incredible Legislative Pig Pickin there was!!! There were over 450 people in attendance with over 50 being either officials or candidates. Charlie, the President of the CCAR board, said that it was the most successful event we’ve had in over 10 years!
If you missed it, you missed spending time with Congressman Henry Brown, Candidate Linda Ketner, State Senators Luke Rankin, Dick Elliott and Ray Cleary, State Representatives Carl Anderson, Liston Barfield, William Witherspoon, Nelson Hardwick and future Rep. George Hearn, County Council Chair Liz Gilland, County Councilmen Carl Schwartzkopf, Bob Grabowski, Marion Foxworth and future Councilman Jody Prince and the list goes on. They also had elected officials from the Cities of Georgetown, Surfside, Myrtle Beach, Loris and more!
It was a great opportunity to sit down, eat some great food, hear some wonderful music and get to know personally the men and women who represent us in government. Everyone is already looking forward to next years Pig Pickin’ and hope you will put it on your calendar as a must attend event!
