The magazines editor, Mary Lu Abbott says the city has the basic amenities retirees are looking for. Abbott also says that activities, available healthcare and real estate prices make Myrtle Beach a more attractive place to retire. Experts say that Myrtle Beach will see a flood of baby boomer retires. Myrtle Beach is mainly looked at as a vacation spot and is important for people to think of it when they are thinking about where to retire.
