Reducing your impact on the earth and using resources most effectively is an easy, sustainable lifestyle that will actually save you time and money!
1.) Reduce, Reuse & Recycle!
2.) Install compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) or take advantage of NATURAL LIGHT (the SUN!)
3.) Unplug appliances while you aren’t using them
4.) Do full loads of laundry, Wash clothes in COLD water & use a drying rack or clothes line whenever possible
5.) Adjust Refrigerator Temperatures (keep the fridge at 37 degrees and the freezer at 0 degrees)
6.) Add one meatless meal a week
7.) Buy local produce, support local farmers!
8.) Skip bottled water & buy a water filter or reusable water bottle
9.) Decorate with organic fabrics
10.) Recycled glass, wood and other materials
11.) Tankless hot water heaters
12.) Energy Star labeled appliances
13.) Low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) paint
14.) Use a laptop instead of a desktop
15.) Make a conscious effort!

Sure, meatless one day a week is because if every American lowered their meat consumption by just 20%, it could lower greenhouse gasses as much as if everyone in the country switched to driving Toyota Priuses. More information can be found here at Yahoo Green.
