Visitors and Residents should be excited for another Grand Strand summer. As expected, this summer will host an array of festivals, events and amusements for everyone. Sports fans should anticipate an exciting season for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. 
Last Saturday, the Pelicans stadium hosted Bark in the Park night. Hundreds of dogs came to the stadium to root for their home team. Come to a Pelicans vs. Wilmington Blue Rocks this Saturday & Sunday May 23 & 24 @ 7:05pm. Don’t miss the Sunday Fireworks display, shortly after the Pelicans WIN the game. If you’re a car buff, take a trip to Surfside Beach Pier for their Car & Truck Show
, May 23 & 24. Enjoy the free vehicle displays, winner of the “Peoples Choice” award for public pick, all while supporting a great cause, the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As proud supporters of St. Jude, we encourage all to attend!
Adventure seekers head to Freestyle Music Park (formerly Hard Rock Park) for their season Grand Opening Saturday May 23, 2009. Ride roller coasters, catch an action packed show, bring the kids, you won’t want to miss it! 
If that’s not enough, join the City of Myrtle Beach as they sponsor Military Appreciation Days May 28-30. Together we will celebrate active & retired military from all branches with 3 days of activities for servicemen, their families and supporters! If you’re not Military, be a supporter!
