By the end of the year the new boardwalk will be well underway, the contractors plan on having the north section done and will be working on the center section. Lots of work has been done to prepare for the boardwalk going up; the old boardwalk has been torn up, new sand dunes have been built, and concrete has been laid. City officials are hoping to have the boardwalk completed by next summer for the people that come here for their Myrtle Beach vacation. It will run from near Second Avenue North to 14th Avenue North. The city council is now working on policies and regulations about whether pets, bicycles, roller blades, skateboards and vendors will be allowed. They plan on discussing everything at the next workshop on December 8.
