Brookgreen Gardens, Nights of a Thousand Candles- December 4-5, 11-12 and 17-19, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., you can stroll through the gardens and witness spectacular lighting displays at Brookgreen gardens. The event is one of the top 20 events in the Southeast, voted by the Southeastern Tourism Society. Lit candles are spread along the garden paths, carolers sing, musicians play and dinner is offered from 3:30-9 p.m. Each night brings special entertainment, with a one man rendition of A Christmas Carol performed every night at 7:30 p.m. in the main tent. Regular adult tickets are $15 and children are $6, children under 5 are free.
