Tom Jones, a resident of Southern California, is a two time professional Muay Thai world champion. Planning to set out and break his already existing record of 1250 mile paddle, and make the journey from Florida to New York for a 1500 mile paddle. Tom not only is paddling across the Eastern coast, but also setting out to raise public awareness about the greatest risks of human health, the environment, and the world’s oceans from improper and excessive use of plastic. His goal is to raise $500,000 to support the mission of plastic free ocean. Being noticed by Wyndham Worldwide, who are now ranked in the top 100 greenest companies in the U.S., are now working together to raise the money to support the plastic free waters. Tom will also be stopping in North Myrtle Beach on July 10th for a fundraiser event being held at the Wyndham Towers on the Grove, and will educate local businesses on how to reduce their use of plastic.
